Widerøe introduce Automated Rainmaker
Crew Discretion Reporting Services

Widerøe, based in Bodø, Norway, introduce automated Rainmaker Crew Discretion Reporting services, creating pre-populated reports for the Norwegian CAA. The service adds a new and essential dimension for Crew Tracking staff that monitors the extremely complex crew patterns that Wideroe operate, in and around the north of Norway. These complex patterns involve significant crew change elements and a need to have centralised reporting, due to the number of Captains operating away from their home base. Rainmaker offers this service so that Wideroe are able to comply more accurately with the requirements of the local aviation authority.

Thomas Cook Introduce Crew Discretion Reporting

Thomas Cook introduces Crew Discretion Reporting to work alongside the electronic Voyage Report, introduced during 2008. This extends data collection capabilities enabling Thomas Cook to have much more operational data available to them and in a timelier manner. That data is used to support ongoing improvements in On Time Performance, Fuel Management, and Crew Utilisation.
