Rainmaker Business Technologies
Rainmaker Business Technologies is a Dublin based software engineering company which was established in July 2005. Rainmaker has a total staff of 14. Rainmaker's exclusive focus is on providing web based reporting technology on airline operations. Rainmaker has a close business relationship with Sabre Airline Solutions and has successfully installed technology with existing airline customers of Sabre.
Pat Byrne
Executive Chairman
Pat's business career is extensive, probably best known as the founder of Irish airline Cityjet, which he also ran as CEO for eight years. Cityjet is now wholly owned by Air France and operates a fleet of 25 jets on two route networks, one which feeds the Air France hub at Paris CDG and the second a point to point service to numerous cities out of London City Airport. In 2008, Cityjet bought Belgian carrier VLM which operates a fleet of 18 turboprops out of London City Airport, making Cityjet the largest operator at London City with more than 50% of the slots. Pat remains connected with the airline through his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Prior to his aviation days, Pat spent 20 years in the financial services sector during which time he developed one of Ireland's most successful investment and insurance broking houses.
Anthony Carville
Chief Software Architect
Anthony Carville is responsible for the application design, development and implementation across the web. Anthony is an expert in the creation and deployment of web services and in software and hardware communication protocols specifically in the airline operations domain.
He has extensive experience in system process design and technologies such as Microsoft .Net, J2EE, DNA, COM+/MTS, UML, C++, Java, C#, XML, XSLT, XSD, VB and SOAP.
Ian Hunt
Product Manager
Ian started in the aviation world from his school days in the mid 1970's with Britannia Airways, based at Luton and learned his trade from the bottom up. His experience has covered many areas including Navigation and Performance, Crew Management, Ground Operations and Commercial Planning.
After a period of 18 years at Britannia, only breaking for a short while to join the Metropolitan Police, he moved to Jersey European, a regional operator based in Exeter, now named FlyBE. It was during that time he became involved in a search for Flight and Crew systems and began a relationship with the Sabre Rocade team, eventually joining them in 1997, and working with them for some 11 years through to 2008. Ian became involved in many major deliveries and consultancy exercise to companies globally. The relationship between Sabre Airline Solutions and Rainmaker Business Technologies lead to his most recent change of position, joining Rainmaker in 2008 to oversee product direction, lead the future sales and marketing exercise, and be heavily involved in customer relationships.
